May 2019

We made this multiplication clock with a round piece of wood and nails.  You wind the string around the numbers according to each multiplication table and see the different designs each table makes.  This was the 5's.

 This was the 1's.

This is Preston's drawing of the designs we made with the string.

We went on a nature hike at a local preserve.  The highlight for Preston was discovering this HUGE mound made by ants.

We tried our hand at selfies.

He's got his trusty nature journal where he wrote down everything we saw.

Preston with his Pinewood Derby car.

Preston at his final soccer game.  He scored two goals this season and improved so much.  Even Dallin was impressed.

Preston is rocking the times tables!  He has almost finished memorizing them.  I wrote several tables scrambled on the board and he circled the numbers in different colors.  He had fun seeing which tables shared numbers.

Preston and I prepared and planted a small garden.  Here he is helping to plant the seeds.
